Outreach programs are a fundamental objective of the Elders Council. Our Outreach Coordinator organizes a series of nature programs each year between May and September.
Past trips include heritage walks, interpretive walks, film screenings, environmental discussions, nature journaling and photography and field trips. Programs are held indoors at the Heritage Centre in Mount Seymour Provincial Park or outdoors in Metro Vancouver Regional Parks and Provincial Parks.
The Elders Council’s outreach programs are created with older adults in mind, however anyone is welcome to participate. Walks and hikes are typically flat to low-incline groomed trails and boardwalks.
Programs are free and registration is open on a first-come-first-served basis. Occasionally a small fee is required for bus transportation.
Join us in nature, learn, socialize and stay inspired!
